INGLORIOUS BASTERDS

its a cute movie I think - crazy uh?
I do not mean the story is cute, its the story telling and the way the scenes goes.
I believe most people have seen it, since its just released on August. but I`ll tell the main story for those who havent.

began with some young girls in a small village in nazi-occupied-france running home after seeing some army is coming to their place. the nazi army is seeking for hiding and hidden jews in the village.

then the scene moves to some jewish guys in army uniform set a line in front of their lieutenant who is having a speech about their new job, "we`re gonna do one thing, and one thing only, killing Nazi"
they`re the ones who later called as the Basterds.

the most interesting part for me is, that the one who succeeded killing hundreds of nazi - including important people of the organization - is not the so called the Basterds monsters, they have successfully given a really bad nightmare to the nazi though. but it is a beautiful teenage girl who run a small theatre in Paris, Emanuella - who actually was Shosanna, a little jewish girl escaped from the massacre of her family in that small village in the first scene - who did it.

this is one of those nazi movies, from jew perspective of course.

but the story telling really is interesting, the scenes divided in different chapters like in a book. and you`ll find many dialogues in french, since it took place mostly there. also some in german and english, of course.

directed by Quentin Tarantino. starring Brad Pitt as Lt. Aldo Rain, the head of The Basterds. Melanie Laurent as Shosanna, the escaped jew girl.
Cristoph Waltz, Diane Kruger, Til Schweiger, and Michael Fassbender are also in the movie.

there`re a lot of violences in the movie (rated R), so its highly not recommended for kids.

INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE

directed by Neil Jordan, from the novel with the same tittle by Anne Rice and released on 1994 - gosh, I`m just a toddler that time - this movie is THE BEST VAMPIRE MOVIE EVER MADE for me - you know I just overblown everything.
I read some other people`s reviews about this movie before writing this, then I realized, the story isnt really great or something - but its worth watching, be sure of that.
its more to a drama than a horror or mystery or even thriller.

well, the casts really do make some sense.
especially Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt.
Pitt doesnt really impress me with the acts nor the look in the movie though.
anyway, Cruise really does. I have always been adoring him and his movies, but he was just a fatherly figure for me. in the movie, he transformed from a very father figure to a sexy irresistible high class vampire. appeared in long wavy blonde hair and pale skin, he really fitted the vampire Lestat character.

you will also find young Kirsten Dunst playing an everlasting young vampire girl, Claudia, who was adopted by both Louis (Pitt) and Lestat (Cruise) as their daughter. there are also some cameo appearance from Christian Slater (Malloy, the interviewer), Antonio Banderas and Stephen Rea (Armand and Santiago, another vampires).

the scenes began with Louis being interviewed by Malloy, a journalist who felt very interested with the life of this mysterious guy, a bit shocked and couldnt believe when the guy claimed himself a vampire, then began to tell the story of his life from the moment he became one.
the scenes going on interestingly I think.
here is a bit of the story reviewed by homevideos.com

In 1791, after the sudden death of his wife, New Orlean's plantation owner, Louis, has lost his will to live. Vampire Lestat finds Louis affable and offers him a chance at joining him in immortality. With consent, Lestat turns Louis into a vampire and begins to teach him the ways of the night. But unable to take life, unlike Lestat, Louis grows to regret his decision. Ready to leave, Lestat turns a little girl into a vampire to persuade Louis to stay. With Louis narrating the story 200 years later, he tells of his adventures in death, love, and trouble to a young San Franciscan reporter.

another reviewer of the movie said that the ending is silly, but I think its really not. contrastly, the ending makes me want to know whats going on after.
well you can find it out on the sekuel book of this Vampire Chronicle series, authored by Ann Rice, The Vampire Lestat. She`s also the author of another filmed vampire novel, The Queen of the Damned.

after all, its a good movie - for me - which is why I recommend it for you.
hope you enjoy it!
